A native of Mount Holly, NC, Dr. Kasey Petersen knew she wanted to be a dentist after working one summer for a family friend at his dental office. He encouraged her to look into it as a career and she enjoyed it so much, she knew it was the perfect fit for her!
Dr. Petersen received her undergraduate degree in exercise and sports science from UNC Chapel Hill. She went on to receive her DMD (doctorate of dental medicine) from Louisville School of Medicine on an Army Scholarship. Upon graduation, she was stationed at Fort Eustis in Newport News, VA for three years, and from there entered the private sector.
Over the years, she has worked in several different dental offices as an associate, learning from many dentists, and determining just how she wanted to manage her own practice.
Dr. Petersen has been married to John for over a decade, and they have two daughters, Zoe and Lizzie. As a family, they enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, playing outside, and swimming at the local pool. Dr. Petersen currently teaches ballet, tap, and jazz lessons as well as helping with the competition team at the Dance Spot in Huntersville, NC. Zoe and Lizzie join her at dance class and enjoy spending time together at the studio!

Next, you’ll be taken to the treatment room to see the hygienist for a thorough cleaning before Dr. Petersen greets you for a comprehensive exam. She will discuss any health concerns or issues and answer any questions you may have. Together you will discuss a customized treatment plan that fits your specific needs and budget.
